Mountain Chapel - Adirondack Trip

Mountain Chapel, L. Daniel, 16 x 12

This charming old chapel sits on a triangular corner in the tiny mountain town of Bloomindale, New York. It obviously served the spiritual needs of the community for some time, and most recently served as an antique store. But sadly, it now sits vacant. It's so charming and gingerbread-y that it would be perfect for something. (It would make such a cool studio I thought to myself). Hopefully, it won't be empty for long.

Beautifully painted. Love the composition and all the soft lighter greens offset the darks in the mountain chapel. Oh, would be a wonderful studio:)

Ohhh, I bet it's cool and lovely in the Adirondacks! I love this type of architecture, and you did a great job with all the eaves and angles! Sweet, and maybe someone will be inspired by your painting to put that gorgeous building back to use!

Love this and the poignant story. You see so many magnificent buildings abandoned in Nova Scotia too. Sometimes whole fishing towns are for sale -- no more fishing.

As a matter of fact that's why we own an old school house, and I am always drawn to every school house I see.

XOXOXOXOXOXBarbara
