Tropical Moon

Tropical Moon, 6 x 8, oil on panel, L. Daniel © 2013

Palm trees are so seductive. The angles, the liveliness, the whimsicality... everything about them is interesting to me. But silhouetted against the full moon, it is all about the shapes - so unique and so recognizable.

I love the lively joy in this. The feeling of wonder and happiness you have on a night like this, just to be able to see such a delicious scene.

Yes, I agree, and you did a fabulous job portraying the mystery and magic of these trees in the moonlight!

Nice Moonlit night Laurel, like the way the Moon is playing peekaboo. I remember one night after leaving the house the moon was out and for some reason it looked really, really big. I think it had something to do with the atmosphere warping it but it was amazing. I tried to get home quick enough to grab a camera but by the time I made it back it had shrunk lol, darn.
